Store-bought pet shampoo can be pricey. Making your own dog shampoo takes only a few minutes and is very inexpensive. Dawn dish soap and white vinegar are great in homemade dog shampoo.

Dawn is designed for removing grease, but it also cleans the skin and coat so your dog can feel better.

Dawn dish detergent includes a lavender scent that keeps fleas away. Fleas can be serious business if you've got a pet infested, so this bonus comes in handy.

Pets also smell great after a bath, so it's a win-win all around. Don't forget the doggy treats when they are all dried off.

    Vinegar

White vinegar's a natural antibacterial and deodorant, so it's great for dog shampoo. Additionally, it will make your pet's coat look healthy and shiny.

While vinegar is great in dog shampoo for several reasons, it shouldn't be used on your dog's eyes. Household vinegar is acidic, so it might sting.
