Ingredients used for Veggie Oats Dog Treats
Oat Flour - You can purchase Oat Flour that's already been processed into a flour-like consistency or you can take some rolled oats and use a food processor to make them into a flour like consistency.
Carrots - You'll take your carrots and cut them into smaller pieces, then place them into a food processor to shred them.
Frozen Peas - This recipe calls for ½ bag of frozen peas.
Chia Seeds - Chia seeds are an all natural type of nut that's full of anti-oxidants and are very healthy for your dogs.
Turmeric - Turmeric has a slightly bitter, but earthy and pungent aroma. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that are great for dogs.
Black Pepper - Pepper gives this dog food topper some extra flavor.
Coconut Oil - Coconut oil is a wonderful binder in dog food or dog treats. It's also a wonderful anti-itch, helps with dogs allergies, and even helps relieve the itch from hot spots.
Items Needed
Food processor - There are many options for a food processor. You can even use a NutriBullet to process your flours and vegetables.
Mixing bowl - I prefer the deep mixing bowls that have the silicone bottoms. They help to prevent the bowls from moving around when you're trying to mix heavy ingredients like flour.
Measuring cups - When looking for measuring cups, pay close attention to the handles. Recently when making my apple dog treats, the entire handle bent from the flour. Look for strong and sturdy handles on the measuring cups.
Microwave-safe bowl - Use a small bowl to melt your coconut oil in the microwave.
Cookie sheet with sides - When making the Veggie Oat Dog Food you'll want a cookie sheet that has sides to keep your dog food mixture in the pan.

Absolutely! The best thing about dog treats and homemade dog food is that you can easily mix and match healthy options for your dog's food.
Here's some examples of things you can do:
Replace coconut oil with bone broth, especially homemade bone broth. It's healthy and dogs love it!
