Ingredient Notes:
Whole Wheat Flour- Whole grains (such as whole wheat) are packed with nutrients that are great for your dog, including fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Whole wheat also contains antioxidants.
All Purpose Flour - Even though we typically use whole wheat flour in our recipes, dogs can eat all-purpose flour as well. In this recipe it helps to build the bulk for a doggie muffin.
Carrots - Besides containing antioxidants, dietary fiber, minerals, and vitamin A, carrots are also rich in dietary fiber?
Egg - Eggs bind the ingredients together.
Banana - dogs love bananas! Bananas are a great, low-calorie snack that is fat-free and low in calories. Besides being healthy for your dog, they're low in cholesterol and packed with nutrients.
Baking Powder - you can use a little baking powder to leaven pupcakes or muffins for your dog. Large amounts of it are not recommended. If you prefer not to leave out the baking powder, you can substitute yogurt for baking powder.
Cinnamon - A favorite ingredient of mine is cinnamon, which I use in dog muffins and pupcakes as well as dog treats. It makes the recipe not only smell great, but has many health benefits for dogs.
