These 3 ingredient chicken dog biscuits are so easy to make, you’ll never’ll never buy store-bought again!
I have been making my dog biscuits since I adopted my dogs.
All those years ago, China was accused of importing pet treats that were contaminated. Making my own means I know what the kids are eating and they won't be poisoned!
Making dog biscuits is very easy. It is simply a matter of getting a dough that can be rolled. That's all there is to it!
Ingredient Notes
Whole Wheat Flour - Since neither of my dogs has any allergies, I use whole wheat flour in my recipes. If your pup has allergies, you can substitute whole wheat flour for rice flour. You’ll want to stay away from white flour for any kind of dog treats.
To get the desired consistency, you might need to add a few more drops of the chicken broth. Fortunately, baking dog biscuits is not as science-intensive as baking cakes.
Chicken Bone Broth - I like to use bone broth in my dog treat recipes. I feel it gives them that extra protein boost, plus it’s healthy for them! I make my own bone broth, but using plain chicken broth is just fine.
Olive Oil - I use the olive oil as a binder in holding the dough all together.
Do I need a Dog Cookie Cutter?
No, not at all.
You can cut them easily and quickly using a pizza cutter. I have the cute dog shape biscuit cutters, mainly because I’m always making dog treats at my house.
Making smaller batches is a great way to ensure your dog has fresh treats all the time!
