These cupcakes made with apple, peanut butter, and applesauce are a wonderful blend of wholesome ingredients that dogs love. They make for birthdays, special occasions or as an everyday treat.
You'll only want to feed your dog one-a-day. These cupcakes make enough for 12 cupcakes.

How to Make Peanut Butter and Apple Cupcakes for Dogs
Cupcake Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ⅓ cup dog safe peanut butter, creamy
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¾ cup of plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¾ cup apple, chopped and core removed
Frosting Ingredients:
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup tapioca starch
- 2-3 teaspoons low-fat milk
Directions for Cupcakes
- Preheat Oven to 350° degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line your cupcake muffin pan with cupcake liners or spray your pan to avoid cupcakes from sticking.
- In a large bowl or mixer, add the flour, baking powder, eggs, yogurt and applesauce. Mix with a beater until well mixed.
- To your mixer bowl add the peanut butter, cinnamon, honey and chopped apple. Mix.
- Add approximately ¼ cup of your cupcake batter to each cupcake liner.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow too cool before frosting.
Directions for Frosting
- Add the yogurt and tapioca starch to a small mixing bowl and mix.
- Mix in your low-fat milk one teaspoon at a time until you reach the consistency of frosting you like.
- Pipe or spread onto your cupcakes.
Peanut Butter and Apple Cupcakes for Dogs
