How to Make Dog Treats without an Oven
How about homemade dog treats you can make without an oven? While frozen, pre-made dog treats are convenient, homemade dog treats have so many benefits.
First, they're a lot healthier than store-bought treats, since you can decide what's in them.
Second, they're a lot cheaper than you'd think.
Third, you'll know your dog is eating a homemade treat. . . one you made without an oven.
To make dog treats without an oven you'll simply need to use shelf stable ingredients that don't require cooking or baking.
So let's take a look at what's in our No Bake Mini Cheese Carrot & Peanut Butter Dog Treats.
A Look at What’s Inside
Oats - No matter what you call it: oatmeals, oatenas or oats, whole grains are good for dogs. Dogs love oatmeal so much they'll eat it any time of day. Oats have fiber, which can keep your dog's blood sugar in check, so it won't get diabetes.
Carrots - While giving dogs carrots as a treat may seem strange, they can help keep your dog's teeth clean by scraping away plaque and tartar, and they can also keep his breath smelling fresh. Check out this meatball recipe for homemade dog treats that come from carrots.
Cheese - Cheese tastes great in homemade dog treats. It adds protein and flavor. Some cheeses, like cheddar, are high in fat, so your dog will have energy to do his dog stuff. The calcium keeps your dog's bones strong. Cheese is a favorite among dogs, so once you give him some, he'll be happy.
Peanut Butter - Peanut butter isn't just for humans. It's actually better for dogs than it is for humans. That's because it's got protein and healthy fats to keep your dog healthy.
It's packed with vitamins and minerals like B2, B5, B6, B12, niacin, biotin, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, and folic acid. Vitamin A and B6 are in there, plus zinc, iron, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus. Peanut butter has a lot of protein, too. Peanut butter has 7.6 grams of protein, so it'll make him strong.
