Raw carrots help your dog’s teeth clean by gently scraping away plaque. You can make frozen carrot treats with either cooked or raw carrots.
How to Make Frozen Apple and Carrot Dog Treats
Ingredients:
- 1 carrot, cut into chunks or a handful of baby carrots
- ½ apple, core removed and apple cut into chunks
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
Supplies Needed:
- Food processor or blender
- Puppy Silicone Molds
- Cutting board and knife
- Cookie Sheet
Directions:
- Being by cutting the carrots into chunks.
- Remove the core of the apple and cut the apple into chunks. Throw away the core, it's toxic to dogs.
- Add carrots to your food processor and blend.
- Add a little water if needed to make it kind of soupy.
- Pour the carrot mixture into the mold, only filling the mold halfway.
- Freeze the mold for 2 hours.
- Next, add apples and yogurt to the food processor and blend.
- Add water if needed to make it soupy.
- Remove the molds from the freezer and top with your apple mixture.
- Place back into the freezer and freeze for several hours.
- Remove the mold by pushing on the side of mold until it pops out.
- Feed on to your pup!
